All countries that need a visa to enter Hungary should ask for a letter of invitation.

OFFICIAL NOTICE

EVENT:      From Friday 13th till Monday 17nd of October 2011

PLACE:      Eger City, Hungary

VENUE:      Kemény Ferenc Sports Hall, Érsekkert, Eger

TOURNAMENT:            Saturday, 15th of October 2011.

TICKETS:   To be purchased on the spot, no booking is necessary. All tickets cost 5 Euros. 

 REGISTRATION AND WEIGH-IN: Friday, 14th of October the registration and weigh-in will take place in the hotel 09:00 am. Countries will be listed in alphabetical order and called accordingly in 30 minutes turns. All details will be written out in the hotel.

1. The competitors should be a minimum of 18 years of age; and at least 4th Kyu.
2. The competitors should sign the online sent medical certificate at the weigh-in. The medical certificate should include health check, HIV test, Hepatitis B&C test and medical declaration that approve participating in full contact fighting. Please have the Medical Health check Form ready to be signed in presence of the doctor.
3. Some competitors will be checked for illegal performance-enhancing drugs!

DELEGATIONS CHECK-IN: The Delegations Check-in and account clearance is done in the hotel.

TRANSPORTATION FROM THE AIRPORT (LISZT FERENC, BUDAPEST) TO EGER CITY: Bus and car transfers from Budapest International Airport (BUD) to Eger City will be arranged on the 13th of October, also departures are scheduled on the 17th. If you wish to come or leave on other days, please arrange your transportation yourself.  The airport is a 2-hour-drive from Eger.

REFEREES MEETING:
The referees meeting will be held on Friday from 14 till 16 pm in the hotel. Referees can be Shihans only (5 dan and up). All corner judges will be pointed out by Shihan Borza.

All branch chiefs are asked to select referees ONLY with IKO certificates AND considerable international experience!

EKO MEETING:

On the 14th from 9 am – 12.00 in the hotel.

IKO MEETING:
Sunday, 16th from 9 am till 12 in the hotel. The exact room numbers will be written out.

KANCHO’S SEMINAR:
On Sunday the 16th from 14.00 till 16.00 pm in the sports hall of a nearby high school.

DAN EXAMINATION TEST:
On Sunday the 16th from 16.00 pm in the sports hall of a nearby high school (Szilágyi Erzsébet)

COMPETITORS EQUIPMENT
• Groin Guard (Compulsory for men)
• NO gloves - All fights are with bare knuckles
• NO shin pads
• Women may only use soft types of breast protectors that leaves the whole chudan area unprotected
• Fighters must fight in white Dogi with no sponsors ads on them
• Karate Dogi only: Men must not wear T-Shirt under the Dogi
• Only IKO Matsushima black belts are accepted. No one will be allowed to fight with any other black belt. No excuses are acceptable.

RULES:      All rules will be according to IKO Matsushima tournament rules.

 TAMESHI WARI:       For male semi-finalists and female finalists. Men should place minimum 3 boards up to break. Women must try 2 boards at least.

SUPPORTERS AND FANS:  All fans who do not wish to stay in the official hotel should find accommodation on their own (there is plenty in the city). However it is highly recommended to stay in one bunch because the official hotel is a 2 minute walking from the sports hall only. Almost all other accommodations are more far away and you need a taxi to get in.) 

SAYONARA PARTY:  Saturday 15th at 21.00 (after the tournament) in the hotel. It is 15 Euros

The dress code at the party is formal.
